Pie Guide to the Seasons

So what if making peach blackberry pie is so last season? As the leaves begin to turn, I'm seeing these delicious colors everywhere.

Filling:
2 lbs peaches, sliced
1 lb blackberries
3 glugs of peach schnapps
1/2 palmful cinnamon
1/4 palmful nutmeg
1/4 palmful fresh grated ginger
1/2 cup pancake mix

Combine. Spoon into crust. Cut butter over top before sealing it up. Brush with whipping cream. Carve cozy design into top crust. Bake at 350 until juices drip and burn and smoke alarm goes off. Panic, turn on some fans, resume with appropriately placed baking sheet. Cool. Eat. Repeat.
