amaryllis + anticipation

I wrote a poem to the amaryllis bulb snuggled up against the only window in our north-facing living room, where it has somehow managed to swallow some sun and remind us to water it. These days are full of waiting -- for our new home, for a job, for spring -- but it helps to watch a thing grow so patiently and without any concern for how beautiful it will be.

  4. How beautiful. Sometimes it's those little moments of beauty that offer the most powerful reminders. I love your poem too. :)

  5. This is the most adorable thing. And I think your poem is perfect. I feel exactly the same way as that little scarlet bulb. xxx
